Chris, told me that the public defender contacted my daughter Kristin yesterday. They talked for about an hour.
Chris said from what Kristin told him that it sounds like they're going to try for an insanity defense, or that Mark is mentally incompetent. The public defender is asking for a competency hearing.
The public defender asked Kristin of a lot of questions about Mark's brother Grant. Specifically about when he killed his wife and himself.
She also told Kristin she had another Public Defender (with more experience in this type of case) just assigned to the case to help her. She said both of them went to see Mark today.
I honestly don't care what kind of defense they use just as long as he is locked up somewhere, anywhere, for a long time.
